Because the term appeared long before there was a meaningful definition for it there is still a little uncertainty as to its exact meaning. We take 50% deposit before we start the job and work closely with you throughout the project, giving you access to design files as we go along and, in case of websites, you see them as they are being built on a secure server.




How is the cost of the work calculated?

You pay for two things: design and manpower or manhours. Our design cost is fixed once we gave you a quote. It allows you the opportunity to perhaps take our design and shop around in terms of functionality or come to us with a design you have already created or purchased and ask us to integrate it. Either way you will always know what you are paying for and what you get for your money. Once we have agreed the scope of the work through a functionality and scope agreement we do not stray from the quote unless there is scope creep in which case we always explain in great detail why costs may change and what the benefits or drawbacks of new functionality involves so that you are in the position to make the best decision possible.


But if you don't request any additional functionality we haven't agreed before there is never any cost on top.



What’s the first step for a project?

The first step, always, is to talk to us. Tell us what you want to do. All information is handled confidentially and we are always happy to sign NDAs if necessary. We will assess the best options available, report back on them, cost them separately explaining benefits and drawbacks and take things from there. We use the web the same way you do.
